At JC Bail Bondsman, we understand that dealing with a loved one’s arrest can be stressful and overwhelming. Our goal is to make the bail process as smooth and straightforward as possible. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you understand what to expect and how we can help:
When someone is arrested, they are taken to jail for processing, which includes recording personal details, taking fingerprints, and capturing a mugshot. The arrestee may be held until their court appearance unless bail is set.
Bail is the amount of money the court requires to release the defendant while ensuring they attend all scheduled court appearances. The bail amount is based on factors like the severity of the charge, the individual’s criminal history, and whether they pose a flight risk.
Once bail is set, contact JC Bail Bondsman. We are available 24/7 to assist you. Our agents will ask for some information about the defendant to assess their eligibility for a bond.
Our agents will work with you to review and approve the bond. In most cases, you’ll need to pay a small percentage of the total bail amount, which we’ll use as a security deposit.
You’ll need to sign an agreement, known as a bail bond contract, which outlines your responsibilities and the terms of the bond. Once the paperwork is complete and payment is made, we post the bail on behalf of the defendant.
After the bail is posted, the jail will process the release. This can take a few hours, depending on the facility and its procedures.
As a condition of their release, the defendant must attend all scheduled court appearances. Missing a court date can result in the bond being forfeited, which means the full bail amount may become due.
Once the case concludes, the bond is considered fulfilled. Any collateral provided during the bail process is then returned.
